Ingredients
- •1½ Milk
- •2 tsp Corn flour (can use oats powder)
- •2 tsp Soya flour
- •3 cups Spinach - full, clean, washed, chopped
- •1 medium Onion sliced
- •3-4 chopped cloves Garlic
- •2 tsp Oil
- •2 tsp Butter
- •¾ tsp Pepper corns - freshly pounded
- •1 Green chili (optional)
- •3 tsp Wheat flour
- •2 tbsp Cheese - grated, for garnish (optional)
- •1 tbsp Fresh Cream for garnish (optional)
Method
- 1Heat oil and butter in a pressure cooker
- 2Add the sliced onion and chopped garlic, sautefor a few minutes
- 3Add the green chili and chopped spinach, soya flour, saute
- 4Add salt to taste and crushed pepper
- 5Add a cup of water and pressure cook for onewhistle
- 6Open cooker after it has released thepressure, cool the spinach mixture
- 7Blend the spinach mixture in a blender to asmooth consistency
- 8Pour into a deep pan and place on a low flame

Spinach is high in fibre, a non-starchy vegetable with few calories, and a good source of lutein, folate, iron, and calcium, all of which make it beneficial to everyone.
