Roast the jowar puffs or puffed rice (kurmura) on a low flame for 3-4 minutes and keep aside
Heat some of the oil in a non-stick deep pan or kadhai, squeeze the thinly sliced onions and fry in the oil till crisp, keep aside
Add the remaining oil to the kadhai, add the mustard seeds when the oil gets hot
As the mustard seeds crackle, add crushed garlic and slit green chilies, on a very low flame sauté these till they are well done, add curry leaves
Add the cumin seeds, fennel seeds, take the kadhai away from the flame and add turmeric powder, chili powder, flax seeds and salt
Mix in the roasted peanuts, spicy chana dal, roasted potato salli
Immediately add the roasted jowar/rice puffs and fried onions
Mix well, add the powdered sugar and amchur powder, mix and keep stirring on a low flame for 2-3 minutes till all spices and flavors are well mixed. Mix in the candid Avla bits
Taste, adjust seasoning, cool and store in an air-tight container
