Ingredients
- •Rava (Sooji/Semolina)- 1 cup
- •Besan- 3-4 tablespoons
- •Soya flour -2-3 tablespoons
- •Palak- ½ cup, wash, chopped
- •Green peas- ¾ cup
- •Onion- ½ cup, finely chopped (optional)
- •Curds- ½ cup
- •Ginger- 1inch piece
- •Green chilies-2-3 or to taste
- •Jeera- ½ teaspoon
- •Sesame seeds- 2 teaspoons
- •Garden-cress seeds- ½ teaspoons
- •Oil for drizzling
- •Salt- to taste
Method
- 1In a grinder add all the above ingredients except chopped onion, sesame seeds, garden-cress seeds and oil
- 2Blend well, transfer to a bowl and add the chopped onion, sesame and garden cress seeds and around a cup full of water and mix well
- 3Keep covered for 15-20 minutes
- 4If needed add some more water to get a batter consistency
- 5Heat a medium sized non-stick pan, pour out a ladle full of batter, spread evenly, not too thick or thin, drizzle with a little oil
- 6Cover with a lid and cook one side for 3-4 minutes till well done, turn and cook well on the other side
- 7Serve hot with chutney/sauce of your choice
Chef's Notes
Rava (semolina) provides quick energy and pairs well with besan and soya flour for better protein balance.
Palak and green peas add iron, fiber, and plant protein, supporting digestion and immunity.
